• Paddy Procurement Programme under KMS

  As per direction of the Government of Assam in Agriculture department, the ASAMB has been notified as a paddy procurement agency in 2012-13. Since then the Board is procuring paddy under KMS in designated paddy procurement centers. The procurement since 2012-13 is shown below..

• Procurement of Bao Paddy (Red rice)

  Bao paddy is being procured from the year 2013-14 at the behest of the Assam State Agricultural Marketing Board fetching remunerative price to the growers of flood prone districts of Assam namely Dhemaji, Majuli and Morigaon. The paddy being milled and exported by a Haryana based company M/s Nature Bio Foods Ltd.

• Potato Procurement Programme under PSF

  As per direction of the Government the Assam State Agricultural Marketing Board is procuring Potato at Rs. 500/- per qtl. from the month of March, 2017 in order to provide fair price to the Potato growers in the districts of Barpeta and Sonitpur. For this purpose the Board has received an amount of Rs. 1.00 Crore from Food Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs department. Potato so far procured by the Board is shown below.
